Most of the visitors choose to either dine at different camps that also provide dining services, while some also choose to self-cater at the communal kitchens and barbecue sites spread across different camps. Almost all camps also provide dining services where drinks and meals can be acquired at very reasonable rates. The alcohol is only available for those visitors that are planning to spend the night at the lodges.
The camps also provide firewood and other utensils for barbecue and self-catering services. Most first timers tend to stick with the camp site restaurants. There is not much variety among the menus offered at different camps. Most of the restaurants have an open setting with central fireplace. This type of open arrangement provides the guests with an open and camping feel that is absolutely necessary to get the full experience of Africa. Some of the famous dishes served at the restaurants are as follows.
- Game Sausages (Made out of hunted animals such as Wart hogs, Kudu, Zebra or Elephant)
- Ostrich Steaks (gamy ostrich meat cooked over slow fire and spiced with local flavors)
It is forbidden to bring any kind of alcoholic drinks in the park. Different facilities in the camp do provide beer, wine and spirits to their guests. Throughout the year the camps are not crowded and provide the guests with a nice and relaxing experience that they can enjoy.
